How We Work
We work in high-end homes where presentation, safety, and professionalism matter. The purpose of this guide is to explain how we work and what we expect from the professionals who work with us.
Not everyone is the right fit for our environment — and that’s okay. But if you want steady work, fair pay, and long-term trust, & YOU ARE RESULTS ORIENTIED, these are the standards we live by. This is the global approach, and please see our page about Work Order Management for more information.
PROFESSIONALISM & SITE ETIQUETTE
- Be professional at all times. Respectful communication, clean appearance, and a steady attitude are part of the job.
- Wear a collar shirt, clean clothing, shoe coverings, etc. No other logos or company names on clothing
- No arguing, blaming, or covering up mistakes. Own the problem, fix it, and move forward. That’s what professionals do. We want LOW DRAMA partners ONLY.
- No smoking, drugs, or alcohol on or near any property.
- No visitors, family, or non-workers on site.
- Clean up daily. Trash, debris, and tools should be neat and organized every day.
- Messy or unsafe sites may incur a $125 cleanup charge.
- Neutral branding only. No personal (your brand) shirts, hats, yard signs, or business cards. We represent one company to the homeowner.
TREAT US THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED
- We treat our crews right. But we also expect to be treated in the same way. That means honestly and integrity. If not, we have to exit.
RESCHEDULES AND CANCELLATIONS OF APPROVED WORK ORDERS
- We go by “do what you say you are going to do…” This builds trust and profits for us all.
- If you cancel the date of your work order, it devalues the order to us. We will pay 10% less than the original negotiated fee.
- If you miss your arrival time by more than 1 hour or so, or reschedule to later in same day – we will charge a fee of $35 for creating customer confusion and extra work.
- If you commit to an order verbally or in text and then begin avoiding our calls or ghosting us, you will be removed from our approved vendor list. Communication is key.
ACCESS & SECURITY
- You may only be on-site with an active work order showing valid dates.
- Lock up the property daily — you are responsible for site safety while you’re there.
- Report any unusual activity immediately.
- We have name badges for shirts that many of our guys prefer to use onsite.
QUALITY, SCOPE, AND APPROVAL
- First of all, DO NO HARM. Do not mess up these owners properties. Don’t get it dirty if not part of the job expectation. Nobody cleans up after you!*** Be careful and smart!
- Never start extra or “add-on” work without written approval.
- Punch lists are normal. We inspect every job and may ask for corrections.
- Work must be turn-key — finished, clean, and ready for use.
- If the scope or budget doesn’t make sense for the level of quality expected, pause and contact us before starting.
- Work must meet industry standards, code, and neighborhood quality.
- Job duration and time is as important as cost to us. You have to execute against both for full pay.
PHOTOS & UPDATES ARE REQUIRED!
- Provide before, during, and after photos or videos in our system.
- Include 3–5 sentences describing what was completed. We need this to get paid. We need to know the results of your efforts, and it it ends up w/ proper payment from client.
- Missing updates or photos delay payment and may incur a $65 trip fee if we have to collect them.
COMMUNICATION & TECHNOLOGY
- Use the project app or portal for all updates.
- Written documentation is what counts — not text messages or verbal promises.
- Keep communication factual and professional — no emotional or aggressive behavior.
MATERIALS & TOOLS
- Bring all tools, equipment, and materials needed. We do not provide delivery or errands for you. You are an independent worker in most all instances and we are not part of your production team.
- Materials must be approved before purchase. If you have trouble finding a product, or good pricing – let us know. We order from Amazon daily as well.
- Tools and vehicles must be in good working condition.
- Do not remove materials or leftovers from job sites without permission.
- We will do 50% draw deposits on jobs over $2000.
- INSURANCE, LICENSING, & CONDUCT
- You must carry valid insurance and licenses appropriate for your trade. We may verify coverage at any time.
- You are an independent 1099 contractor, responsible for taxes and labor.
- Unsafe or uninsured behavior may lead to termination or withheld pay.
PAYMENT TERMS
- Payment follows completion, inspection, and approval.
- Allow 2–3 business days for payment to process after approval. We do not pay on-site or same day.
- Failed inspections or incomplete punch lists delay payment.
- Jobs extended beyond approved timelines may see adjusted pay to reflect lost efficiency.
- A signed W9 is required for total payments over $600 per year.
CONFIDENTIALITY & NON-CIRCUMVENT
- Do not contact homeowners or clients directly for side work or payment. All communications must go through our office.
- All project details, pricing, and homeowner information are confidential.
SAFETY FIRST
- Follow OSHA, city codes, and property rules at all times. Unsafe acts, shortcuts, or negligence can result in job termination and liability.
ENDING A JOB OR CONTRACT
We reserve the right to stop work or end a contract for:
- Repeated missed deadlines
- Poor or incomplete work
- Unprofessional conduct
- Dishonesty or unauthorized work
We always prefer long-term relationships, but we protect our clients and reputation first.
INTEGRITY, PRICING & TRUST
We believe in fair pay for fair work — no more, no less.
We use structured pricing models to stay consistent and transparent. This helps everyone avoid misunderstandings and emotional reactions over money.
We always strive to pay within 2 business hours (of every Friday in some cases of regular guys)
Here’s how we define fairness:
- We don’t take from you — and you don’t take from us.
If you find savings or unused materials, report them. Do not pocket differences or inflate costs. - No “price creep.” Once a job is agreed to, the price stands unless a written change order is approved.
- We don’t negotiate under pressure. Trying to leverage deadlines or homeowners for higher pay is not acceptable.
- Transparency matters. All invoices, receipts, and communication must be honest and complete.
- Admit issues early. Mistakes happen — hiding them destroys trust. We’ll work with you when you’re upfront.
- Leave emotion out of business. We deal in facts, quality, and results, not frustration or accusations.
We succeed when both sides protect each other — that’s how professionals work.
We want partners THAT TREAT US RIGHT AND WANT TO BE TREATED THE SAME WAY who take pride in their work, communicate with respect, follow scope and safety rules, and treat our homeowners’ properties like their own.
In return, we pay fairly, communicate clearly, and offer repeat business to the teams that do things right. That’s how we work.
